- A soldering station – this creates a safe and more efficient environment for soldering. It includes a power supply, tip holder, and soldering iron stand (which also helps to keep your work area clean and organised).

- Soldering wire, which is used to create a connection between two pieces of metal.
- Flux, to help the solder flow and adhere to the metal.
- Desoldering braid to remove excess solder from a joint.
